"Oui" Run 5K Supports Local Charities
The LFC looks forward to partnering with five charities making a difference in Chicago and beyond. Proceeds from the 2018 “Oui” Run 5K will be donated to Noah’s Arc Foundation, After School Matters, Open Heart Magic, Mama Hope and The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
NAF is an organization built on the principle of self-expression and the belief that every child, no matter race, creed, color, nationality, religion or economic standing, needs to be able to express their true self in order to fulfill their dreams.

After School Matters® is a non-profit organization that provides life-changing after-school and summer program opportunities to more than 15,000 Chicago high school teens each year.
Teens are at the core of everything After School Matters does. They are the reason we exist – from the more than 200,000 we have reached since our beginnings, to the many more we must reach in the future.

Our Hospital Magicians offer more than just “a show.” They work one-on-one with children, using magic as a means to encourage participation, engage the imagination, and help these kids find their own sense of confidence and mastery as they learn to perform the tricks for their doctors, families and friends. The powerful effects of their laughter speak for themselves. For kids undergoing medical treatment, magic has therapeutic value.
As a Global Advocate for Mama Hope, LFC alumnus Daphnée is fundraising for two organizations in Guatemala: a holistic school, Tejiendo Futuros, and a Mayan cultural center, Sotz'il. Together, these two organizations aim to educate the next generation of children to become future leaders of their country—leaders who understand and respect their cultural heritage and wisdom, their environment and can defend the rights of the indigenous communities. Daphnée will travel to Guatemala in fall 2018 for four months to develop an eco-farm project, which will allow children and families of the school of Tejiendo Futuros to have healthy diets, generate income, as well as reconnect with the Mayan culture through a cooperation with the organization Sotz’il. To learn more about this project, you can visit her fundraising page .
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen heroes. The Foundation provides support and assistance to the families of Chicago police officers who are killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
